Today, I have witnessed in our hometown how children took part in the blessing of the 'Palaspas'. The palm branches according to the Bible were a symbol of everlasting peace and victory. These were laid down in Jesus’ path as he entered into Jerusalem – leading to the observance of Palm Sunday.
