At past 2 this morning when i was tipsy and the rest of the world was sleeping, i learned a good piece of life story from a 10-min conversation with this bangladeshi driver, who can speak 7 different languages including a fluent tagalog.

With a worrisome tone, he said: "I learned to accept and survive a difficult life in Dubai away from my wife and 4 children for 5 years now. I don't complain a life that has less to offer even if i want to. Minsan kulang kita, madalas pagod, madaming puyat!"

I asked him if he's not tired of doing the same thing every day with so less income for his family. The answer was, "i know that this is just temporary. There are other good things that we receive every day aside from money but we don't appreciate because we are blind and numb to see and feel those!"

I paid him 20 dirhams from my pocket and did not ask for the change. He handed me the 5 dirhams and said "keep the money my friend, you might need it more than I do."
